Resurrection Characters

Caleb is a gunslinger that was born in Texas in 1847. His miserable poverty stricken childhood was made bearable by a mentor that would teach him the skills he would later need in life. He dreamed of wealth and power and his attempts to achieve it made his face a familiar sight on plenty of wanted posters back in the day. It was fate that would bring him to meet Ophelia Price, on that cool autumn night. Her story intrigued him and he quickly fell in love with this beauty from Britain. He would join the Cabal in 1871 soon after meeting Ophelia, and his love for her would grow and consume him for over a hundred years.

Ophelia immigrated to America from Britain with her father when she was just a child. Her mother had died during child birth and life was hard for just the 2 of them as they attempted a fresh start in the new world. Her father taught her the skills she would need to protect herself and it was devastating to her when he died of a heart attack once she reached adulthood. Her world was in chaos until she met a man named Price, who would later become her husband. He told her of a group of people that were working to make the world a better place and their efforts would bring great benefits to anyone that was a part of the cause. Her husband's beliefs later changed when he realized the truth and he paid for his actions with his life. The farm that was their home was set ablaze, and as she ran from the fires in shock and sadness, she would meet the fugitive from the law named Caleb. Their love would last for over a century, and transcend life and death, and reality itself.

Gabriel is a civil war veteran and he'd witnessed the brutality and madness of the war firsthand. Despite the horror of this experience, it was the only time in his life that he ever really felt in control and comfortable. He was a true warrior at heart and returning to the civilized world with all of its rules following the war was a difficult task. It was to his relief and delight that he found a new cause to fight for, in spreading the word of Tchernobog.

Ishmael is an analytical man with a thirst for knowledge. The mysteries of life and the universe have always driven him to seek out the answers that he believes are out there. He believed those answers were within Tchernobog, and he chose to serve him to uncover all of the mysteries of the universe. He will allow nothing to stop this quest for the truth, and although he is primarily a man of peace, he can be quite ruthless when necessary. He is quite proficient in the use of traditional weaponry but he has always had a preference for the ancient art of magic. One should never be fooled by his eccentric bufoonish ways as he can easily wipe that smile right off your face.
