It was brought to my attention recently by an email that I received, that my work is still being mocked and imitated by a group of pathetic and destructive parasites.

I've previously presented actual facts and evidence to prove the truth in this matter, and the truth has in fact been proven many times. It really is impossible for anyone to dismiss or deny all of the the overwhelming evidence that's been presented over time.

The above screenshot is taken from the "Hypertension" website and I have no idea what INB4B2R is supposed to mean exactly. But the above post on their blog is clearly directed at this project ("In before B2R"). I can think of no reason for yet another one of their attacks, since I've ignored these individuals for several months now. I've also discontinued my own updates because of their constant thievery, mockery, and relentless attacks. But aside from their post being directed at B2R, it also further demonstrates their continuous imitation and mockery of this project.

This wordless post of theirs is in itself an apparent imitation of my own previous wordless post. The sewer image is also an apparent imitation of my own sewer level. In fact this self admitted thief and liar has previously publicly admitted to doing just that here.

"Also, the latest screenshot I uploaded was partly inspired by that sewer video you uploaded, I really liked it. It added a lot of ambiance that wasn't there in Blood 2, so I took the idea and made a big section of a level in the same vein."

The second screenshot is also yet another apparent imitation of my own work, and I will attempt to prove that as well. Observe how they are both narrow hallways with doors at the far wall, while the remaining walls have identical recessed areas containing pipes. This particular hallway was first seen in its original form in the last video that I created back in 2008! They've simply imitated what I had previously done and used textures taken from Blood 2! I have no idea where they've also taken the crossbow from...

Of course this group will most likely deny any obvious similarities, and attempt to also justify the mocking title of their latest post. But the reality is that this team have been relentless in their desire to undermine and damage my hard work and reputation since August 2008, and to also profit financially on the damage they do. They are the only mod that I've ever encountered on the internet that actually asks people to give them money, and despite their constant denials, one only needs to look for the PayPal button on their own website to see the truth.

I was forced to end these updates due to these destructive parasites. They have continuously imitated my work and even tried to take credit for ideas that I originated long before they ever showed up. Despite the fact that I've ignored them for months, they will clearly never end their attempts to do damage to this project. Logic and reasoning has not worked with them. I've provided an overwhelming amount of evidence to defend myself, and to inform people of this matter. I've discontinued my own updates, and apparently even if I completely ignore them, they will still continue their attacks against this project.

No one should ever be forced to deal with this kind of relentless and never ending lunacy and destruction. If anyone has any solutions or answers, I'd certainly appreciate it.

I provide this to you without prolonged comment, for intelligent discussion and reasoning seems to no longer exist in much of the Blood community. I have to admit that it seriously defies logic of any kind to dismiss actual facts and evidence, especially in favor of lies, and lunacy. But certain misguided individuals continue to do just that.

Does the past not teach us anything? I contributed over two years of hard work into this project without any real conflict with anyone, versus a destructive individual's many years of theft, lies, and causing problems with others, that still continues today? A self admitted thief and liar * with a strong desire for attention, praise and profit, initiated a relentless campaign of thievery, damage and destruction against this project. An overwhelming amount of evidence has been provided in my defense to discredit all of their lies and relentless attacks of lunacy. The damage began with one individual's arrival into the Blood community. It has spread and continues today. Many have actually left the community altogether as a result of these destructive parasites. While I in fact provided updates continuously for over 2 years, maintained people's interest, never initiated controversy of any kind, and never had any problems with anyone. But apparently I'm now a bad guy for working my ass off and trying to defend my work and reputation, by providing actual evidence of their own actions.

Anyone with any intelligence has already been made aware of the truth. The remainder should actually be pitied for their unforgivable ignorance, despite being given an overwhelming amount of actual facts and evidence. In all seriousness, do actual public admissions admitting to guilt, an appalling history of theft, lies, manipulation, provoking confrontations, and an abundance of verifiable facts and evidence, really not register with some people? Or does it seriously make more sense to simply ignore all reality and to even support a group that provides proven lies, ridicule, and ludicrous mockery in their defense? The truth is apparently irrelevant to some.

I was forced to end all of these updates of mine on the internet due to their constant imitation and mockery of anything I do. In fact it didn't take very long at all for this parasitic thief to imitate and mock this very post:

There is now only lies, mockery, and destruction. There is now a continuous unpleasant atmosphere in the Blood community that did not previously exist, and it was created by a group of destructive, self serving individuals. One only needs to look for the donation button on the "Hypertension" website for the reasoning behind all of their deceptive and destructive actions.

In the beginning there was goodness that could have continued.

The Damage Never Ends

Please be aware that some disturbed individuals are continuously trying to damage this project. They are relentless, and they'll spread lies and ridicule all over the internet in an attempt to damage this project and my reputation. I've tried to provide true facts and evidence here and elsewhere in order to defend my hard work, and to inform and warn people of this entire matter. I've spoken honestly for over 2 years in all of the updates I continuously provided, and I felt that people deserved to know the truth behind what's actually going on. I'd like to think that my efforts and my word over the past 2 years would account for something, especially in comparison to the appalling history of the main lunatic behind all of this madness. However I can no longer waste any more time with all of this endless destructive insanity of theirs. Unfortunately, there can be no further updates provided due to these individuals.

There has never been any evidence presented to discredit my word, other then denials, ridicule, and lies. The forum on their website is actually a monument of mockery and ridicule against me, that clearly demonstrates their mental illness. But it would seem that as usual the evidence supporting this claim has now once again been deleted since I originally posted this. But I do have copies of the original web pages on my hard drive if anyone is interested. They have also publicly taken credit for creating the idea of re-visualizing the Blood series with a new story, even though I clearly began this project long before they ever showed up! The main thief and liar, quickly ended a 7 month old Resident Evil mod when he discovered my website, and he then began imitating my work by claiming that he was "inspired" to copy me. They have publicly denied copying my work even after publicly admitting that they did copy my work! It is truly impossible to use any kind of logic or reasoning with such relentless lunacy.

There is also absolutely no evidence to support the claims that this project has ended. I think I would know if it had, and I will of course let you know if it does.

Epiphany

I've come to a realization today. Perhaps it could be called an epiphany. But first, allow me to briefly recap a few facts.

It hasn't been easy trying to build an entire game consisting of over 40 levels, new models, and artwork, using old outdated technology. As if the difficulty in doing all of this wasn't enough, I've also been forced to publicly battle those who would attempt to damage my work and reputation. I've seen my work copied and imitated, and attempts to cause destruction to this project have been made by those that don't like any true facts being revealed. It doesn't matter that these facts are all supported with evidence that can be easily found on the internet.

Let me just make this perfectly clear. I honestly don't care how many resources are taken from other games by untalented parasites. That has in fact never really been a major issue with me. However, imitating and copying from a project that is still in development and has been in development for over 2 years is a legitimate problem that has actually occurred. Another rather serious issue is the attempt to financially profit from copyrighted resources of company owned games, or through the imitation of work that has been ongoing for some time. When history, and recent evidence confirms these allegations, then there is no legitimate reason for that truth not to be revealed. It is not slander, malicious, or dishonest in speaking the truth.

However in speaking the truth and providing evidence, I was forced to publicly engage in a ridiculous battle to defend the work that I have been doing for over 2 years. I was then mocked, ridiculed, and insulted continuously by these individuals simply for providing honest facts.

As a result of all of this, I attempted to stop all of the nonsense by ending all further updates of this project on the internet. I thought this would prevent any further imitation and destruction of my work and reputation. However as a test of sorts to determine whether any further efforts of mine might still be duplicated, I did post a few new images on this site last month. It was no great surprise then that I would later find on some other site, a mirror image of 2 trees and a stone fence at a 90 degree angle, with some green grass, under a night sky. There's even grass sprites at the base of the tree. Those seem to be an awful lot of coincidences, don't you think? Now, what are the odds that this image isn't based on my work? Well, considering that everything I do "inspires" this fool, and the fact that he still visits this website constantly, that seems rather unlikely. I was curious over exactly which of the new images of mine would be copied, and I suppose this individual had no time or talent, to imitate and build the actual church...

I still receive insults and mockery from this group of individuals even though I've no longer even been posting on the internet lately. It just demonstrates how truly sad and pathetic they are, and they would apparently like nothing better then to see this project end. They imitate my work and ideas, and try to profit financially on copyrighted material, and then attempt to do further damage when I reveal these facts publicly. I've basically been forced off of the internet because of these asses. They are relentless in their attempts to damage my work and reputation, and for the most part, people generally remain apathetic to the truth and the facts. Theft, lies, and bad behavior are apparently unimportant to most of the Blood community, and that is truly unfortunate.

Although I've stated that I'll no longer be providing any further updates, I still receive emails from people wondering whether this project has been cancelled.

I can assure anyone that's interested, that this project will continue for as long as it takes. Unfortunately though I'll no longer be providing any further updates, due to reasons that I won't get into again. I do however appreciate the support and emails.

So while I continue with these experiments, here's a few random screenshots of what was, and what might be...

Oooh look it's Silent Hill, Blood style. That's something you don't see every day.

I'll now wander off into that mysterious fog that beckons me, and hopefully I might return again someday...

I've had a few emails from people lately, wondering if I've actually given up on this project. I admit that I have thought of throwing in the towel a number of times especially recently, but if I ever did decide to pack it in I'd certainly be honest about it. But like I've already said, I don't really have any plans on providing any further updates in the foreseeable future. But just to prove that work is continuing, I'll present a couple of new screenshots from this week.

I built myself a new testing area to play in with lithtech 1.0, and started working on the AI once again.

I've learned quite a bit over time about how best to implement many improvements to the AI and also a lot about all of the peculiarities of the lithtech engine. But lithtech 1.0 is still an old buggy creature to work with, and I'd really like to move on to the Jupiter engine if I can. It does mean a whole lot of work, involving coding and new model construction. But I can definitely promise that the true spirit and essence of Blood will be retained. Caleb will eventually look like himself, and not like some bizarre androgynous sissy with anime friends.

As for any further updates, this site will now no longer provide any due to the childish behavior of some self serving, parasitic thieves in the community. Feel free to research all of the true facts for yourself. This thread of lunacy might help get you started.

As I've often stated, Resurrection will continue for as long as it takes. I have tried to do my best for the past 2 years and I will continue to do so eventually, in spite of any obstacles that are thrown in my path. But I do appreciate the support that has been offered and I remain optimistic of the future.

Due to personal reasons however, it's unlikely that any further updates will be provided here. Comments and volunteers are still always appreciated, and I can be contacted anytime.

Reality sucks

I'll be taking a bit of time off from the project for awhile due to the demands of life and reality, and a shortage of available free time. I've actually been finding it somewhat difficult lately in balancing my personal life and all of my obligations, against all of the work that's still necessary to do on this project. The shortage of volunteers has always been a problem but I'm still optimistic that situation might eventually improve. I'll admit that I'm feeling a bit cranky and burnt out at the moment as well.

However I remain determined to see this project through to completion no matter how long it takes. These updates might eventually decrease in number, but be assured that I'll still be here working away whenever I can find the time.

Comments and volunteers are still always appreciated, and I think there might actually be some potential volunteers coming out of the tunnels now...

The City at Night part 2

I recently returned to some of my old city levels in an attempt to improve them, and I think I'm finally beginning to get the hang of all of these damned lights. Hopefully I can find the time to do some more updating on all of my other levels as well.

Time is one thing that there never seems to be enough of, and I've been attempting to do my best with all of this work for the past 2 years on my own. But the demands and obligations of reality do prevent me from doing as much as I would like, and as I've often mentioned, volunteers are always appreciated.

This city street for example could benefit by having some low poly cars, and more garbage on the streets. Unfortunately I just can't find the time to create any more models at the moment. The same is true of all the textures that this game requires.

I do seem to have a great deal less free time then I used to, so any assistance is certainly a welcome relief. Texture artists, 3d modellers and C++ coders are still needed if anyone's interested in contributing to this resurrection madness. Anyone can contact me anytime for whatever reasons through the contact page.

I'll continue with all of this for as long as it takes to get it right. But if these updates do become somewhat scarce in the future, it's simply due to my increasingly limited free time....

But on a positive note, I finally got the ferris wheel to work!

Website Maintenance Update

I haven't had much time to work on things lately but I have managed to do a bit of website maintenance. A new information section has now been added to the site, for anyone that may not have noticed.

There's some information on the project's history here, as well as some background information on the game character's.

I've also included a brief look at some of the game's enemies, and I'll eventually expand on this section, as the website and project continue to evolve. A weapons section and a general story outline will eventually be added to the site as well, and if any of the links are broken please let me know.

The project continues to evolve and there is still much work to be done, but comments and volunteers are still always appreciated.

Some of my more recent levels were beginning to feel a little lonely, so I began populating them with some enemies today. Since everybody loves a good zombie, and they always seem so photogenic, they seemed to be a natural choice for some screenshots.

The calming sounds of a tranquil church have now been shattered with the demands of "BRAINS!" which echo off of the cold stone walls...

I also decided to torture a few civilians while I was at it.
Now don't try this at home kiddies or someone's gonna start crying....

All of this horror kind of makes me nostalgic for the good ol' days, when there were always some crazy cultists hanging around some kind of funky looking castle...

But there's no time for daydreaming when there's monsters to be killed. Anyone is always welcome to join in this madness...

It's been over a month since I last worked on this project, so I decided to fire up the old Blood 2 game once again today. The time away was much needed and it's allowed me to now see a few things with a fresh perspective.

I went and took a look at some of the older levels I'd worked on and snapped a few photos along the way, which I thought I'd share.

I was then reminded of how much I hate setting up the lighting in lithtech 1.0 and how time consuming the new models are in the editor. I'd still really love to have all of the features of the Jupiter editor to play with, but lithtech 1.0 still has some potential left.

If my patience holds up.

Maybe in time the dream of better things might come true...

Another Year

A brand new year is upon us all, and hopefully everyone entered into it well. I myself currently have a headache, in part from too much celebrating, but also due to too much Blood 2.

It's strangely ironic and somewhat bizarre that a game that I never really enjoyed would eventually take up so much of my time. I think the Cabal must be involved in these disturbing mind experiments somehow. Of course I have no direct proof of this conspiracy, but I do know that they appear to be quite resistive to any changes or alterations of their existing universe.

The odds seem to be greatly against me in this mission, and the Cabal have been quite ingenious in keeping others from interfering and tampering with things. Their attempts at stopping me may slow me down, but I will not allow them to defeat me...

To be honest though, I'm still at somewhat of a crossroad in the development of this project. I've been weighing all the pros and cons of whether to continue using the old obsolete lithtech 1.0, or to take the big step and move everything over to a more advanced engine. There are plenty of things to consider here, and I could probably fill up an entire page with all of the advantages and disadvantages of either choice.

If I had a team of people to work with the answer would be obvious, and 3d modellers and C++ coders are always welcome to inquire about what specifically needs to be done. But it seems unlikely that anyone will be offering anything new to this project in the future. With the exception of the musical contributions which I greatly appreciate, every single person that has ever volunteered to this project has eventually disappeared without ever contributing anything worthwhile.

So after gorging on Blood 2 all this time, my plate still seems to be full, and the end of this madness seems to be nowhere in sight. Hopefully this new year will bring some new growth to this project that currently more closely resembles the undead qualities of some of the game's enemies.

I'll continue to do my best though because one way or another the Cabal must be defeated!

Gone Fishing

Too much time spent on this project lately has caused me to become tired and cranky and I think I should probably take some time off for awhile.

But before I go, I'd like to pose these questions. Where are all of these people that wish for a Blood 3, or that post in forums demanding for the release of the source code for Blood 1? It's almost comical listening to people repeat the slogan "release the source code" like some mindless zombies. If it ever were released would any of these people actually do anything with it?

There's been an opportunity here for over a year for people to help in improving an official Blood game and in also creating a brand new Blood game. But people haven't exactly been banging down my door with offers of assistance. Even after being continuously shown the potential of this project, it seems that it's too much effort for most people to even offer a supportive comment. Yet there's always time for people to write another post in another forum to "release the source code".

I do greatly appreciate all of the comments and support that this project has received though. It's the reason I post and continue this madness. Even the negative comments that I receive are appreciated because at least it lets me know that people care.

But where is the Blood community, and why are most of them unwilling to help or even offer a supportive comment on all of the work being done? Perhaps they're all too busy writing about how much they wish there was a Blood 3 and that Monolith should "release the source code".

Forgive my crankiness but I need a break. I'm sure that I'll eventually return to work on all of this, because I've never been one to quit anything I started. But all of these updates, screenshots and videos do seem rather pointless based on the limited responses that they usually receive.

If anyone ever wants to take time away from posting about how Monolith should "release the source code" then they'll know where to find me...

I've made an interesting discovery today in my continuing experimentations with the Jupiter engine. All of the retail Blood maps could be easily converted to run in NOLF 2! There would be no need to recreate the original geometry by guessing.

Of course additional work would be required such as texturing, removing unnecessary brushes and enemy placement. It would also be necessary to increase the scale approximately 1.2 in size, however the basic geometry would be an exact match.

It even works in Contract Jack!

When a light is finally added, the potential of this experiment is realized...

But it seems unlikely that I'll be using the Jupiter engine unless a coder is willing to come forward, so this information is somewhat irrelevant, although rather interesting.

The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is so close yet so far away...

I've released several Resurrection videos since I first began all of this, but they were all simply demonstrations of the state of things at the time of recording. Some of them were also somewhat experimental such as the one I uploaded a few days ago...

But it seems that some people don't really care for lengthy atmospheric experimental videos such as the one I previously uploaded. I've heard that it was far too long and the most boring thing ever witnessed.

So I decided that for those with limited time, or short attention spans, I would create an official trailer for the Blood 2 Resurrection project. It's short, action packed and uses a modified cheesy sci-fi horror theme for its presentation.

I think it'll most likely be awhile before I ever create another video. There's too many other things for me to do and I don't really feel like listening to complaints about things.

I'm too tired and cranky and I think I need some sleep...

Atmosphere, Appearance and Ambiance

I seem to be committed to using this old lithtech engine. Or perhaps, I should be committed for using this old lithtech engine...

But if I can't have any decent tools to work with, or fancy shiny eye candy, then I'll just have to put more energy into the appearance, atmosphere and ambiance of this old game. The gameplay is constantly being worked on, and the coding still takes up far too much of my time. But every now and then I take the time to re-examine some of the older levels that I've worked on.

As I previously mentioned, I'd like to try to combine the style of the original Blood with a somewhat more modern appearance. My hope is that this will ultimately give a unique and fresh look to the game. It's difficult to describe what I'm talking about, so I'll attempt to give an example with a video. My apologies for the low quality of the video. It was fine before youtube got a hold of it...

The level itself is currently incomplete and not yet optimized, so it does run a little choppy in spots. It also doesn't have much in the way of action but I thought that would better demonstrate the appearance and atmosphere of the level. The slow pace is also enhanced by the fact that I was eating a sandwich while recording, lol.

The level is complimented by the fine ambient contributions of Marek "Nivo" Boguta, who seems determined to create enough ambiance to fill up 10 games. I really do appreciate all of the vast efforts that Nivo continuously puts into this project though, and I'll always look forward to anything that he may wish to contribute. While most volunteers have disappeared, Nivo remains committed to helping this project grow, and that kind of support certainly means a lot.

I've also recently heard from Håvard "Hoby" Felberg, who has also previously donated some well done ambiance for the game. He plans on contributing further work to this project in the future, and I'll look forward to his eventual return. Still missing in action is Nicola "Neurological" Capecci, who supplied some excellent tracks for the game earlier this year. I did warn him about those black holes but he apparently chose to ignore my advice.

So, volunteers may come and go, but the ambiance, atmosphere, and appearance of the game is continuously being worked on. Things should keep on improving with time and I certainly appreciate all of the support that's been offered.

There's still much to be done, but first I think I need another sandwich ...

Ancient Cities in an Ancient Game

Working on this project has often been a little frustrating, due to the limitations of using such old technology. I'll admit that I often wish that I could have some better tools to play with, and occasionally I turn to the Jupiter engine to check on things.

The Jupiter engine which is a more advanced version of the lithtech engine, was used in NOLF 2 and it would be a pleasure to be able to use this version in Blood 2. Through experimentations I've discovered that the unprocessed Blood 2 levels and around 75% of the models could be converted to the Jupiter engine with some effort. However the game code is far more complicated, and NOLF 2 has virtually nothing in common with Blood 2. If someone out there wants to volunteer their efforts into transforming the NOLF 2 game code, then I'd certainly be willing to move this project over to a newer engine. But it seems unlikely that anyone else would devote that kind of energy into this project, and I'm probably insane myself for even considering it.

So since I seem to be stuck with this old engine, I'm continuing to try to make the most of it.

I've been experimenting with the idea of mixing more realism and horror into the game. The look of Silent Hill for example might produce some rather interesting results. The textures may not have the detail and environmental mapping of the Jupiter engine but the results could still be worthwhile.

In addition I've been revisiting some of the older levels and experimenting with things. I think that by combining several different styles into one game, it should give a rather unique and interesting appearance to things. But the game's appearance still needs to feel related to the original Blood and that's where the challenge lies.

Using the Ancient Cities level from retail Blood 2 as an example, I might be able to better demonstrate what I mean. The appearance of this level now seems somewhat more realistic with the use of some greater detailed textures, yet it still incorporates some of Blood's and Blood 2's original textures as well.

I'm not really sure how well any of these different styles will work, but if I don't at least try then I'll never know...

There's still much to be done and I'll continue to be be around, even if these updates may become less frequent.

(I should probably also try to get some sleep before I attempt to do any more posting, lol)

Restless Zombies

The zombies seem to remain unsatisfied with these coding changes, despite my best efforts to give them more brains. After all that I've done for them, they've certainly proven themselves to be ungrateful.

But actually the coding is going quite well despite what any of these zombies might say. I'm continuously testing the changes that I've been making, and progress is coming along nicely.

But this coding will most likely continue to keep me busy and its possible that I may not have any new screenshots for awhile. So in the meantime here's some more shots of those lovable cadavers.

I've also added a new page of random nonsense to the site for anyone that may be interested in that sort of thing. It'll be sure to either amuse or nauseate any visitor, with my feeble attempts at humor.

Well, there's still much coding to be done, and the zombies are getting restless...

More Words on a Page

As I previously mentioned, I've been rambling on about this project for over a year. These updates seem like a good idea but sometimes I almost feel like I need to continuously come up with something new and interesting just to keep people's interest.

The coding will most likely keep me busy for some time, so other then continuously saying things are going well, I probably won't really have anything new to say for awhile. So here's a couple of shots of an incomplete haunted mansion level in the meantime.

The mansion still needs much work as do all of the many new levels.

Eventually though once I've completed a significant amount of coding, I'll put together some sort of video and then return to creating even more levels, models and textures.

Somebody really needs to come up with a way of adding more hours to the day...

Second Year Online

This website has now entered its second year online, as of Halloween. Unfortunately though the renewal process wasn't as automatic as it should have been, due to an expired credit card. I'll admit that it was a little shocking to find that the website had disappeared over night, and it took me a few hours to straighten things out.

I've also been experimenting with the appearance of this site, and I'm sure that eventually I'll find something that I'm happy with. There's still much work to be done not only on the website, but mainly on the goal of repairing Blood 2, and I'll continue to do my best for as long as this takes.

Well, back to the coding....

More Zombie Renovations

Everybody seems to love zombies, but unfortunately I don't have any new zombie models functioning correctly yet. I suppose they all still need more brains, so I'm still stuck with the old souldrudge models for the time being.

I was beginning to get tired of constantly seeing the same goofy face, so the Cabal have given the souldrudge another makeover. It's kind of interesting seeing the comparison of the 2 skins on the same old bizarre looking model. These souldrudges were never meant to be zombies...

The Cabal have also reconsidered their bizarre idea of hiring zombies from China. They were extremely good workers, and would only eat brains without MSG. But unfortunately they weren't very popular zombies, but I believe that a few of them might still be wandering around the city somewhere. ( I do amuse myself at times with some rather strange ideas )

Eventually some new zombie models will be built and tested. If I can ever get through all of this coding.....

Random Ramblings Part 3

I've been talking about this project for what seems like forever, and working on it for even longer. I think I may have finally run out of things to say...

But it's probably just as well because there's still plenty of coding to work on, and that should keep me busy for awhile. Since I don't have any more screenshots of western towns being erected (lol), here's the last screenshots for awhile.

I'll be back sometime when I actually have something worthwhile to say...
